Footstep Counseling uses several counseling theories when working with clients. Often times, the theories I use depends on the issue and client. Life can be stressful and full of ups and downs. Counseling or Therapy is there to help when you become stuck. With life's curves there are times when client's need a professional to talk with. I believe individual counseling is a process between both the counselor and client in which awareness about oneself, feelings, thoughts and behaviors are identified to facilitate change and increase ones quality of life. Awareness opens the door to the change process. Once the individual is open to understanding unknown areas of the self, causes & symptoms; they can create the change they are looking for.
